 | The Pain of Eros |
And so sleep's dark curtain veils my mind's resource, as a gold-tipped arrow is loosed at night and pierces my skin, and sweet lustful poison through my vessels course, and my beating heart fights anon, but this battle cannot win
Writhing passion slyly constricts my heart, when outside a starry mantle lies across the world, and when awake my wits depart, and the deep-rooted lust is fully unfurled
From the moment of waking my mind is set one way, and can think of only one thing, And seeing Her is like the rise of the sun on a new day, and to memories of Her my mind does cling |
